Sinara-Transport Machines may build high-speed train plant
ST. PETERSBURG, Aug 24 (PRIME) -- Russian engineering company Sinara-Transport Machines plans to build a facility to produce high-speed trains, Chairman of the board of directors Alexander Misharin said on Thursday at a trade fair.
"We plan to build one more facility soon, for high-speed trains," he said, adding that the trains could develop a speed of up to 400 kilometers per hour.
President Vladimir Putin supported last week an initiative of construction of the pilot high-speed railway between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
